Capitol Heights Creed
Capitol Heights Middle School (originally Capitol Heights Junior High School)
was founded in 1929 with the objective to educate the children
within the community of Montgomery. Currently, we serve 655 students on 116 Federal Drive.
Due to changes implemented by the Montgomery Public School Systems,
including rezoning and school closings, demographic changes
have also
been introduced to Capitol Heights Middle School and its community.
At the conclusion of the 2009-2010 school term, the 9th grade was rezoned
to the
high schools. At the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year,
the 6th grade was rezoned to Capitol Heights Middle School;
hence, making the
official switch from Junior High School to Middle School.
